But I would recommend this game for all ages, it just really defines a racing game, and I also like how they included DJ (and his crew), because he was barely shown in the movie. I only got the game because it was on sale so I could get it for a cheap price. I watched the movie Cars and I was impressed with how good it really was. There's quite a big roster and you can also change the paint on some classic characters. It's not that bad, and I noticed that, out of Disney video games, Pixar ones have to be the best. When it comes to Disney and video games for me, I think more of little kids playing Hannah Montana and Pooh or something. The race tracks barely relate to the story in the movie, but that's okay because, this way you can explore more and you have a bigger variety to choose from. PSP owners, you should really get this game-after all, (with my experience) there aren't THAT many good PSP games out there.
It is fun only for several days because it resembles the scenes and cars from the cartoon, but it gets boring quickly. The race track are almost all the same and the driving patterns are the same. It is not challenging at all.
I bought this for my 5 1/2 year old son. He loves it and it's really easy to play. I even enjoy it as well ;) Recommended.
My son (now 7) has had many hours of fun with this game over the last year.
It's fun for adults too. I got this game for my 5 year old and he was really good at it after a couple of hours. After six weeks my son moved on to another game because he had played enough to get bored, I will add that he played it two or three times a week for less than two hours each time. He really enjoyed it, he loves the graphics and the music and the commands are easy to learn and maneuver. There is clean competition, nothing a parent would squirm about, no violence or bad words. It's not a boring game, by no means, but going around the track and beating the obstacles can only be fun for so long. He does goes back and plays it occasionally, overall it's a good addition to your PSP game library.
